As much as I appreciate being involved with the avant-garde of the Solaris world, sometimes it gets me in trouble. In this case, the folks over at OpenSolaris decided to put Firefox version 3.1b3 in the 2009.06 build. As nice as it is to be able to use the new flash 10 plugin, there is no Firebug plugin for this version, and since most of my work is web based, Firebug is a must-have.
I suppose I could either 1) compile a custom firefox, 2) try to get the dev repository version working, or 3) compile a custom firebug against the current libraries. I suppose the 4th option is to just suck it up and finish my projects with firebug, but dang am I spoiled! How did I ever develop without it?
